The Giving Tree [Shel Silverstein] because it has a good message about the joy of giving of ourselves to others.

What is your secret talent?

I can play the euphonium (it’s like a small tuba) and traveled and performed all over the eastern United States and Canada with the UMass marching band.

Who was your favorite teacher in elementary school and why?

Mrs. Stanton in 2nd grade, because she collaborated with my parents and other teachers, and implemented interventions that helped me succeed and perform above grade level, which directly helped me to be the first person in my family to go to college.

Why are you proud to teach at Fairview?

It’s a dream come true to work with students and parents from all over the world!
