I am extremely honored to be Fairview’s Assistant Principal. This is my second year at Fairview, and appreciate the unique diversity of Fairview’s school community, and enjoy the energy that our students bring each day to learn. Having learned from my schooling as a child, I knew I wanted to enter into the field of education so that I could instill my love of learning in children and share in individual student successes!
I have been in Denver Public Schools for over ten years, and have called Denver my home for 20 years. I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and attended The University of Iowa where I earned a Bachelors’ Degree in Psychology and Communication Studies. Once I moved to Denver, I earned my Post-Baccalaureate License in Elementary Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. I love being a student and consider myself a life-long learner.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 6 -year old daughter. We enjoy skiing, snowboarding, hiking, attending live music concerts, swimming, cooking and playing games.
